    Lounge

The lounge and bar space where we went for briefings, to just hang out with other passengers, and at the front right to recharge our many devices.

  • Anke our excellent Cruise Director gave complete and thorough briefings. She, and the entire crew, took great care of us.

    A moment to relax

One of the crew members takes an early morning break to check on life back home. The crew worked tirelessly to ensure the trip was smooth. These guys easily worked 16 hour days, always with a helping hand and a smile.

  • Drying out after the dive watching for the 2-3 mantas to do some cartwheels in the lights. The lights attracted plankton which attracted the mantas for a meal along with some other fish.

    Whale shark!

A whale shark was spotted nearby during a surface interval which resulted in some frenzied snorkeling to see it.

  • The (very full!) dingy was enlisted to get people out to the whale shark. Naaoi, a 6 meter male, was spotted.

  • One of the passengers made a quick unscheduled, but necessary, trip up island to the nearest decompression chamber for a couple of sessions. He followed proper protocols but was just unlucky. We had to welcome him back to the ship in style though! Glad you made it back safely Mr. Bubblemaker! (

PSA for all divers, keep your DAN insurance up to date!)
